Quality Analyst (Job Code: QA)

  • Role & Responsibility

    • Analyse user needs and software requirements to determine implementation of testing procedures in a time and cost effective manner
    • Give daily feedback in SCRUM stand-ups to the project team on test progress, issues and concerns
    • Create and maintain test documentation, Summarize and communicate test strategies
    • Verify and validate Product behaviour as per specifications and User expectations
    • Detect software failures & Product issues early so that these may be corrected in time
    • Participate in sizing and QA estimation for the user stories
    • Proactively monitor and track Product issues/quality, and triage these effectively with Product Owner
    • Participate in User Acceptance Testing with the client, stakeholders and SME's
    • Participate in testing the Product in different environments
    • Oversee and/or participate in the day-to-day QA activities on multiple product/agile teams
    • Communicate clear and accurate information in all respects; verbally, written, electronically, etc.  This includes test case preparation, emails communicating status, project discussions, meetings and bug reports.
    • Work closely with cross-functional, distributed teams under the guidance of the QA Manager, to deliver customer solutions that adhere to the company quality standard
    • Review software documentation and customer release notes to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks
    • Assist in ongoing design discussions by giving feedback from test & legacy results
    • Develop and document application test plans based on objective, user stories and technical specifications
    • Design tests for user interface, product features and regression suites
    • Design and execute tests on software applications

    Skill Sets Required

    • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time, often with changing requirements as agile team needs may dictate
    • Knowledge of Agile Scrum development practices and how they pertain to Quality Assurance needs
    • Experience of working in the E-learning domain on LMS softwares & platforms will be an added advantage
    • In-depth experience with test planning, test case creation and test case execution
    • Experience with requirements reviews with product developers and other stakeholders such as product owners
    • Experience in testing web based and client application
    • Comfortable with different OS/Browser and Mobile platforms.
    • Comfortable working in Windows & Linux environment.
